Becky White grew up in Berkeley, CA and New York City. She has been playing music her whole life, starting with violin at age 5. She bought her first electric guitar & started playing at age 13.She has published 3 CDs with all original songs. She travels to the remote and urban places of the world playing her guitar and learning about different cultures’ music, spiritual paths and languages. She lived in Costa Rica for a year studying marine mammals and learned the intricate melodies of the gamelan on the island of Bali.Becky White is a dedicated earth activist, life-long naturalist, and has a degree in conservation biology.She believes in using music and art as crucial tools towards planetary balance.Becky is a co-founder of the Oxygen Collective, a collective of artists & activists who operate Priscilla, a tour bus that runs on 100% vegetable oil-based bio-diesel. They create innovative tours through the country as one strand of a larger global movement based in social and earth justice. She has played numerous benefit shows and continues to sing out for peace. When she is not traveling she lives in the Bay Area and the wild regions of California and Oregon.
